If you are a northerner you will know summer is a probability, not a season. It can be, or not, it´s a matter of good luck and some adamant prayers to see the sunshine out of the window when you wake, in the best of cases, with a clear blue sky and not a single cloud around.. 

That´s a miracle I got to see on my last trip there, three full days of sun and warmth. A lot of warmth. It´s also a fact for us living (or visiting, for the case of matter) that we love a good sunny day but we also love to complain about how hot it is. Because, you know, hot weather and humidity just don´t work. But instead, do great things for my skin, because it´s always looking dewy and fresh, not a single dry patch on sight. It´s when I move further, where the landscape leaves the green and starts to turn golden, when problems start. My skin does not accept dry summers, and any attempts to fight this back are fired back. I went back to my Origins Drink Me Up mask but feel a bit thick for the sweaty nights. Looking for something lighter, Yves Rocher Hydrating mask looked right. More like a gel texture, I honestly think it does as good to my face as the Origins one but cheaper. It smells and feels fresh, reasons why I love to use it after a day at the pool too. I use it every night before bed, let it sink for a few minutes and wake up with good looking skin. Now, I´m swapping the city for the mountains this weekend, can´t wait to feel a cool breeze again and sleeping with the duvet on. Love summer, but you can´t take the winter child outta me.

Si sois del norte como yo, sabréis que el verano es una probabilidad, no una estación. Es cuestión de buena suerte despertarse con un día soleado y un cielo azul, prácticamente un milagro que he visto en mis últimos días allí. Es un hecho que nos encanta el calor, pero también nos encanta quejarnos de él, porque el calor y la humedad son el horror hecho pareja. En cambio, a mi piel la combinación le sienta perfectamente, siempre está hidratada y no hay ni una zona seca a la vista. Es cuando dejo el norte atrás, cuando empiezan los problemas. Empecé a usar mi mascarilla hidratante de Origins, pero para las noches de 30 grados la veo demasiado pesada. En Yves Rocher encontré una opción más ligera y que también amo mucho. Es una versión low cost de Origins, con una textura más tipo gel y que en la piel es muy refrescante. A mi me gusta mucho por esto último, es una opción muy top para estos días veraniegos.
