Sensitive Skin: What I Do When I Have a Break Out

sensitive skin breakout

I like to think my skin is rather good, a tiny bit oily on my T-zone and normal-ish on the rest. However, it´s sometimes so so so delicate to other factors such as new products, weather changes and random life situations (see: stress)..

This time it was not the weather nor inside bubbling what made me have the worst rash ever, but a new face cream I had been trying for a few weeks. If you follow me on insta (what are you doing if you don´t though) you will know what product I´m talking about, the hyaluronic acid cream by Deliplus (from Mercadona supermarket). I first started using it and everything was fine, until I started noticing a very weird itchy and red dry patch around my nose. It then spread like mad to my cheeks and every time I applied foundation my face burned. Long story short, I threw away that little bitch and started recovery mode. I stopped using make up for a few days, let my skin breath. I cleansed as usual and then moisturize with my Filorga Cream Universelle. I do think this stuff is great and has made a huge difference. Also, I applied hundreds of coats of coconut oil on to my dry patches and exfoliated gently with my Yves Rocher scrub. I avoided any other harsh treatments (deep cleansing masks, ciao) and did this for about two weeks. I am happy to announce my face is back to almost normal, there´s still some evidence of the bad days but nothing to worry about. I´m basically happy again.
