A few weeks ago I went shopping –what’s new? – and I bought really interesting stuff. My trips to Boots have become more and more frequent through the weeks but I can’t blame myself if every time I go to the city centre I see not one but two precious Boots pleading me to get in. I sometimes manage to walk myself out with empty hands, but other times, I can resist my urge to try new products. I’m weak, I admit it..
I usually go find the things I can’t get hold of in Spain, and I’ve realized Boots products are really good. There are plenty of ranges to choose from, and the prices are so good it’s almost disrespectful not to get something. Also I’ll just take a moment to praise the 3×2 offers that go through all year round –thank you. After a good 30 minutes exploring the shelves, I decided to pick Boots Simply Sensitive Cleansing Wash Gel, and it has been the discovery. It’s so gentle, it doesn’t have fragrance and it is not foamy, so it doesn’t dry out your skin. I’ve been using it since I bought it and I like it very much.
I then went for an exfoliator, as I didn’t bring any with me. And oh god how much I missed one! At home I used to exfoliate with a honey and sugar scrub every week, but here I’ve become a little lazy and jumped that step from my routine. The Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub looked good, so I gave it a go. I have tried it and I still have to give it more use, but for now I can tell you I find it a bit harsh against my skin, although it does leave it bright and soft.
Last but not least, I picked a face mask. I squeezed a bit of my favourite French clay mask on a little travelling tube that I sadly finished weeks ago *sobs*. I picked up the Boots Simply Sensitive Deep Cleansing Face Mask, again from the same range of the cleansing gel. This one is an interesting one, because it’s not your usual deep cleansing mask. It has a creamy texture (reminds me a bit of the origins drink up overnight mask) and it feels cooling on the skin. It doesn’t dry and you need 3 minutes to let it act. My skin feels hydrated and clean after it, but it’s not the best mask I’ve tried.
Keep an eye on the blog as I may pop an in-depth review of each one once I’ve fully tested them. As for hauls, I surely will pop another one soon..
