Skincare 101: Rescuing Dehydrated Skin

Winter is looooong. And too cold. And my skin hates it so much it has started to rebel against me with too much redness and dry patches. Adorable. So as much as I´d love to stay in until spring, I’ve done a few changes in my routine that have make my skin a little bit happier..

I’ve changed my normal Garnier Energy Scrub cleanser for the Bioderma SensiBio Foaming Gel, which is actually my sister’s –sharing is caring. I found the Garnier one a bit too harsh for my skin, but the Bioderma one is gentler and doesn’t dry my skin as much. In fact, despite being a foamy gel, it’s quite moisturizing and calming. After this, I always use the Garnier micelar water. It is also very soothing, and I love using this on the dry areas to give my skin a little exfoliation. Depending on how I feel, I either apply a face mask or I just continue with a moisturizer. If I feel like doing a mask, I use the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask. I just can’t get enough of this stuff. It soaks in the skin perfectly and it smells sooooo good. If the mask is not in my plans, the Bioderma Cicabio Soothing Cream is my cream of choice. As everything mentioned above, it repairs the skin leaving it soft and calm.

I love winter, but the weather lately has been so crazy I almost can’t remember how it was not being forever cold. I feel like it has been years since the last sunny and warm day.. Can it be summer already??
